Food and Funnies

Last week we had an event called Food and Funnies. The students cooked and served a very nice dinner for the people attending and the Plum Line Players provided the entertainment. Pastor Rick wrote a great blog about the night, you can check it out here.

The main reason we had this event was to raise money for the students to go to camp. The theme this year is Links it should be a blast. We still need to raise more money for them, the cost $185 a student and we have a good number of families who have more than one student in Element. So if you see us on Sunday at the Element cart please let us know if you want to help them get to camp!

If you would like "No Flock" insurance ($20 for 2 months) to keep the flamingos from your yard you can visit the Element cart in the lobby of the church on Sundays.

You may also pay $10 to have the flock placed in someone else's yard! Please e-mail us or get more information from the Element cart.

The Journey: Beach Retreat

We had a great time this weekend. Bill talked about Exodus, the journey that the Isrealites and how it relates to our own journey in life. One of the most important things is that life's journey is like a baton relay, you can run the race, but if you don't have the baton you are disqualified. The baton like our relationship with God, we need to have it to run the race set out for us. (2 Timothy 4:7) We had lots great games and fun in the sun! Thanks to DJ for the pictures!
